Oh man, I'm terrified and excited for my first out of state con! :3

and I will be attending Colossalcon this year, and we're taking some easy (yet some new new!) cosplays!

Friday I'm wearing my Sora (ITS BEEN SO LONG) from Kingdom Hearts and then I'll be cosplaying The Monarch with Solo-dono's Dr. Mrs. The Monarch! It'll be a "resort-wear" version, since I know I can't pull off his skin-tight bodysuit right now. XD

And Saturday I'm really excited, because Hopie and I are cosplaying realistic versions of Farmland Ice Prince!Finn and Ice Princess!Fionna! Still need to make our robot arrrrrms!!

I'll also be brining my Ace Ventura costume, and Hopie and I will be helping work the Crunchyroll booth a little each day!!

WHOA I GAT A LOT TA TALK ABOUT SO LET'S GO!!

Firstly, and I had photoshoot time yesterday with the awesome of Mike Boike Photography! It was such a blast! We went to a REALLY lovely park in the Woodlands and then visited the ice skating rink!

There were so many kids, it was awesome! And there were even a few parents that were like, "AFDJAKGJ LOOK ITS JACK FROST"! Definitely a wonderful experience. I had to apologize for the warm weather, though. Like one kid agreed, "It's abnormally warm Houston weather for this time of year!" XD He was so cool. Props to you, bicycle kid.

I really can't wait to see how the photos turn out! For now, INSTAGRAM PREVIEWS!

NEXT!

Arda Wigs has finally started their Iron Wig competition! I made it into the Top 10, and while I'm beyond nervous (having things judged does that to me), I'm also excited to see what I can do and I promise to try my best!

They've also given the A-OK to use wig models, so is going to have to deal with me slapping a wig on her every couple of weeks. But I'm sure she won't mind. c:

AND FINALLY!

WE HAVE A TUMBLR!

I have to admit something first, candidly. For a long time, Tumblr just seemed like a haven for negativity as far as cosplayers were concerned to me. All that Social Justice hoo-hah and the witch hunts that came along with it, blogs dedicated to "bad cosplay", that kind of thing. But then I had a long conversation with a friend and they helped me rationalize: usually, the loudest voice is the most negative. And that's all I was able to see for a while, yanno? Just the lousy stuff. But there are so many cool people on Tumblr, utilizing it in great way! I also love me some in-character Ask blogs, they're great!!

So and I are trying to figure out HOW to use Tumblr, and would love if you would follow us and also let us follow you! Most of our updates will continue to be on Facebook, but we do want to use this new medium to meet new folks and post some fun stuff. <3
